Introducing: The Deep List
Interviews and coverage of indie books, authors, publishers and booksellers
While running the the magazine, our sharpest lesson was how dialogue in the publishing industry is always dominated by Big 5 publishers and their imprints. While we enjoy certainly enjoy the trendsetters, as a small literary magazine we feel there needs to be conversation around beautifully poignant and significant works that are constantly being put out by talented authors through independent publishers, small presses and via self-publishing routes.
So now we have The Deep List.
A new interview and podcast section in addition to the usual journal.
The Deep List is being hosted on Substack and is available on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and YouTube Music.

We have an active list of authors, publishers and booksellers that we want to cover and we’re looking for more. Below is a list of prerequisites. Please feel free to get in touch if you are an author or a book PR professional looking to be featured.
Authors whose novel, novella, short story collection, graphic novel, or poetry collection is forthcoming from an indie publisher or small press. Debuts will get preference, but we are voracious readers so new releases from seasoned authors will also find a place on our list.
Self-published authors whose debut novel, novella, short story collection, graphic novel, or poetry collection is already released. This helps us check reviews and market response and so on.
Indie publishers or small presses who are looking for more fresh talent and want to talk about their journey and ethos, and the business of publishing.
Indie booksellers who are established and want to talk about market trends and those that have just entered the market and are looking for authors and titles to list.
